Im pretty sure some of your stuff is in it haha.
Well, you can download the wallpaper and the Rainmeter skin, of course (I'll hopefully have the one shown online within the next few days)...
I don't think Litestep works with Windows 7 (though I didn't get around to trying it). You could check out Blackbox for Windows which is pretty good - you lose your standard Windows interface and right-click on the desktop to get into the start menu etc (takes a bit of getting used to, but is pretty good nonetheless). It also has plugins and addons around to extend what it can do.
I uploaded a screenshot of Blackbox running on my laptop here ages ago - it's possible to run Rainmeter in combination with Blackbox too.
So, try that and let me know if you run into any problems and I'll see if I can suggest anything.
So I totally had no idea what Litestep even was, but I'm trying it out now. So far it...kinda works. After installation, shell replacement, and a reboot, the desktop is black and I can't figure out how to install the Rosenrot theme. I'm looking around now feverishly but I don't see any theme installation help for Litestep. Also, for some reason, Rainmeter thinks it's fun to launch three instances of itself on startup. Not a huge problem, but I'd rather not have to exit out of two every time I startup.
And I can't wait for that Rainmeter theme to come! Truly, nice work!
If I knew how to edit posts, I would've dont aht. But I'm pretty new, sorry for the double post!
As for Rainmeter, does it show up in your Startup folder in the Start Menu more than once? You could try running msconfig.exe and removing some instances of it from the startup programs if it appears there too.
I don't think it is possible to edit comments, well, if there is a way I haven't figured out how to do it either.
Btw, Litestep doesn't take care of explorer windows too, does it? Because I hate having Litestep themes and then the Aero explorer pops up, totally ruins the look.
I just had to set it up again and I remembered another set that's needed...
Once you download it and install it in the relevant location for themes, go into the theme.rc for it and change the lines under the Modules section - change LoadModule to *NetLoadModule and remove the stuff before the actual plugin name on the same line (i.e. $ThemeDir$ etc) - then copy everything from the theme's module folder into the main module folder under the Litestep installation.
A bit convoluted, but that's how I got around the errors for being unable to load modules.
